Where should our group trip go? Decide it fairly
Group trips stall because the loudest opinion wins or nobody wants to be the one who picks. A scoring group lets everyone weigh in privately, then shows one fair answer.
Quick checklist
- Agree the dates first. Weather, prices and festivals all change by season. Score destinations for the dates you'll actually go.
- Set a budget range everyone can do. If someone can't afford an option, make budget a must-have for them. It's kinder than a silent no.
- Keep the list short. Three to five options is plenty. Anyone in the group can add one before voting starts.
- Weigh separately, then reveal. Hidden scores stop people anchoring on the first opinion in the chat.
- Talk about the biggest gap. The reveal shows where your weights differ most. Sort that out and the rest usually follows.
How the group answer is calculated
Each person's weights are scaled to 100% first, so nobody counts double, then averaged. Scores are averaged too, and any member's must-have that fails knocks an option out. You also see how many people had the winner as their own first choice.
Reuse the group
Once the destination is set, ask the same group the next question: which hotel, which weekend, which restaurant on the first night. The link stays the same.
